SA&A Announces Completion of the 1st Cohort of SA&A CPDSO-Accredited Public Sector, Policy & Political Communications Course on June 26, 2025

June 26 2025 – SA&A has announced the completion of the 1st Cohort of the Public Sector, Policy & Political Communications Course on June 26, 2025.
The course was attended by communications professionals active in the policy, political and non-profit sectors. In the words of Sola Abulu, Principal Consultant of SA&A and Course Tutor,
The importance of the purposeful use of communication in policy, politics and public sector context cannot be over-emphasized in modern society. Government no longer controls access to all information. Citizens are collecting and disseminating information online and sharing perspectives and influencing public opinion and sentiment on issues of governance and politcal leadership. Government communicators therefore need to be more structured and strategic in terms of how they engage with the public and build trust with citizens. And this is what we teach on this course.
In the public sector communications module, we focus on showing how to build an effective structure and practise of communication to amplify the voice and impact of government and in the public policy module, we show how to deploy communications throughout the policy life cyle from agenda setting to adoption, implementation and evaluation. We also show how to become a positively differentiated, trusted and influential brand in the politics using concepts and principles of strategic communications. And in the final module, we share best practises and key performance indicators to inform success criteria
Feedback from participants was very positive and we are confident that this course would be very important for communications specialists seeking to develop their skills, competence and expertise in non-profit, governance and institutional impact and involvement.
